Options
If you're going to visit Walt Disney World® Resort you are going to need to get in
somehow! What are your options?
[In all
cases in the
subsequent
descriptions and web
pages, the "child" price is for a child of age 3yrs to 9yrs. Under 3 the child is free. Once your child is 10 years old, s/he is considered an adult. This fact often results in raised eyebrows, but it is not too unreasonable when you consider that
practically all the rides that are offered to adults are also offered to kids over 10, while younger kids have more
limitations.]
So
let's
begin...
How
Long are You Staying?
Depending on the length of your stay in the Orlando area, you will need to decide what kind of passes you will need.
The
types described below are explored in more detail in the next three
pages. You can jump ahead from the links here if you're impatient!
A
couple of days only
If you are planning to visit Disney for only 1 or 2 days, then it is may
be best to purchase individual park
tickets
BUT NOT
NECESSARILY...
there are
some
advantages
to the NEW
"Magic
Your
Way"
option,
which may
interest
SOME of
you!
NEW!
Magic
Your Way Tickets are
available in 1 or 2
day versions, and
there are a couple of
differences between
just turning up at the
gate.
Please
note:
if you plan to return to Disney in subsequent years, you might want to consider
buying a multi-day "Magic
Your
Way"
passes as these are significantly better value (on a per-day basis).
You must
remember
to buy the
"no-expiration"
option in
order to
make use
of this.
For many
people the 6-day
"Magic
Your
Way"
ticket is
the best
value, as
it has the
most
reasonable
cost for
the
"no-expiration"
option. (See
price grid
for
details.)
And
yes, they really NEVER
expire...
Three
days or more
For 3 or more days, we
strongly recommend a multi-day
"Magic Your
Way" pass.
Disney are hoping that
you will stay for 6 or
7 days, rather than a
shorter duration, and
you will note that the
prices reflect this.
It is MUCH better
value to stay for 7-8
days (or more) than 3
or 4, on a
cost-per-day basis. Details and prices are
here.
Staying
on site
The
actual "pass" component
is the same whether you are staying on
site or off, But, here
are packages that can
be added which are
only available to guests that stay on
site. Click here for more details and prices.
