Disney
Magic lives here...
You really know that you are in Disney
World as you walk down Mainstreet USA and catch your first
glimpse of Cinderella's Castle in the distance.
It is at the center of
the park and is its most recognizable icon (with the possible
exception of a certain Mouse...) |
Here you will
have ample opportunity to meet with some of Disney's best loved
characters face to face - have your camera ready! Why not
collect some character autographs? |
 |
 |
The special parades are
always a treat.
The themes
changes
regularly.
This picture
is of the
"Share a
Dream Come
True"
parade which
was part of
the "100
Years of
Magic"
celebration. |
There are
"thrill" rides that are suitable for all ages, from The
Barnstormer, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin and The Many Adventures of
Winnie the Pooh for little tots,
to Space Mountain (my favourite), Big Thunder
Mountain and Splash Mountain for
older kids and "kids at heart". Buzz
Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is a lot of fun for anyone,
and The
ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter
will be too scary for many kids (and lots of adults too!) |
 |
 |
There
are slower-paced attractions such as the excellent Hall of
Presidents, the rollicking Pirates of the Caribbean
and many more.
Mickey's Toontown Fair
is a fun place for the kiddies to meet up with their favourite
characters. And don't forget
to watch out for a number of lovely shows that take place at
different times throughout the Kingdom. |
