Disney World®> Introduction> Why
Disney?
"Walt Disney World®
Resort" - some things to consider
DON'Ts
-
DON'T
expect
to see everything
-
DON'T
expect
to be able to get around any one theme park in less than a day
-
DON'T
buy
all your gifts and souvenirs the day before you leave (they won't be
able to deliver them to your hotel)
-
DON'T
think
that you can really do anything on checkout day (except head for the
airport) - there probably
won't be time
- unless your flight leaves after 5 PM
-
DON'T
be
surprised if you get even more caught up in the Disney
"thing" than your children - you probably have more Disney
memories than they do...
-
DON'T
get
your photos developed at the Magic Kingdom - Cinderella can still be
heard lamenting "someday my prints will come..."!
(Ha Ha, what a terrible joke...)
DOs
-
DO
prioritize
the attractions that
you really want to see.
-
DO
visit
the Magic Kingdom early in your trip (this is where you really feel
the pixie dust - the other parks seem more exciting afterwards...
strange but true)
-
DO
buy
a multi-day pass before you leave home. You will want to visit more
than you think, and the multi-day passes are much better value than
paying for individual park tickets.
-
DO
take
or rent a stroller if you have small children. They can (and will)
sleep in it during the day, and you will save tears as little legs
get tired.
-
DO
expect
to have to wait for the Disney buses (usually no more than 20
minutes, though). Use the wait time to rest (you'll really
appreciate this "forced" rest time by the second or third
day!) and talk about all the things that you just did and saw.
-
DO
buy
or borrow a guide book to help plan which attractions
you'd like to see - otherwise the sheer scale of Disney World can
seem really daunting.
