 All-Inclusive
Resorts
Beach lovers, who want "all
inclusive" options with family needs catered to, return over and over to
Jamaica, Barbados,
Cuba and many areas of Mexico and the
Dominican Republic.
Not necessarily all-inclusive
Families not interested in all-inclusive resorts, preferring privacy and
comfort in a more remote setting, enjoy the US and British Virgin
Islands, the Caymans, again Barbados
and the Bahamas.
Scuba and Snorkelling
Families who want to concentrate on scuba and snorkeling during their
holiday always enjoy Cozumel and Akumal in Mexico, the Islands of the
Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, the Bay Islands of Honduras, Turks and
Caicos and the various
small islands off Belize.  Time
constraints
Ideally
we all want to arrive at our holiday destination in the shortest possible time
and without en-route stopovers. Holiday tour operators generally offer direct
charter flights from several gateways to the various sun destinations they
feature each season. Sounds good right? The downside can be the flight dates and
times these charters offer (mid-week, middle of the night departures and
arrivals), limited legroom and luggage allowance, as well as inflexible length
of stay (typically 7 or 14 days duration).
It is possible to arrange holidays of any
duration by booking scheduled airline flights and hotels separately, but be prepared to make
en-route connections and spend more time and money to get to your
destination. The choice is yours.
