Accommodation
Inside the kids room (deluxe connecting
lagoon-view)
Most of the rooms at Club Med sleep 2 (or 3
max), so lots of families will automatically get two connecting rooms. We like
this! More space, two bathrooms, privacy etc. etc.

We also like the fact that your connecting
rooms are guaranteed, and the kids still pay the kids rates (they are not forced
to pay as adults, like what usually happens at most resorts when you prefer to
have two rooms...)
All rooms feature
- colourful design
- comfy beds
- chaise longue or sofa
- desk (with internet connection - not free)
- safe (no extra charge)
- mini-fridge (stocked daily - charge for
booze, but not for water etc)
- large LCD flatscreen TV
- bathroom with shower only (if you need a
tub, read on as you'll need a suite...)
- separate toilet stall
- ample storage
Parent's room including crib and stroller
As we were travelling with our baby, we
received, automatically, the "baby welcome" pack in our room. That
is,
- a crib (already set up),
- a stroller (now, of course, we had brought
our own for the airport, but we were able to leave in its bag and we got sand in the
wheels of Club Med's own stroller! I really appreciated that)
- a potty
- a baby bath
- a bottle warmer
Lagoon view
The various buildings around the site offer
various combinations of room types. It is possible to have garden view, lagoon
view or sea views. There are several room types in each category.
Suites
One building at Club Med Cancun - the Jade
building - offers significantly larger, beautifully furnished, seriously
upgraded accommodations for those who really appreciate the extra special and
can afford to pay for it. These suites all have:
- dedicated concierge service
- ocean views
- double-wide balconies fronting the ocean
- large sumptuous living area
- desk with computer provided (and free
internet)
- separate beautiful bathroom with
freestanding tub and separate shower
- premium espresso/cappuccino maker in-room
- original artwork on the walls
If you want the best of the best, these
are it. They are approximately twice the cost of the ocean-view rooms.
